=== FREE vs PRO ===
♚ Free has Ads.
♚ Free does NOT have Save game option
♚ Free has other minor UI limitation while loading games from PGN

=== NOTE ===
♚ Once you launch the app, please click Install button and follow onscreen instructions. This will install an open source app, EBookDroid which is required for showing ebooks.
♚ You need to manually move the pieces on the board, just like in real life. This app does NOT automatically make moves on the board if you tap the ebook.
♚ This app does not contain any pirated or commercial chess ebooks. You are free to load any Chess ebook in pdf, djvu or djv format.
♚ This app comes with a sample copy of "Bonus chapters from the book - Learn from Garry Kasparov’s Greatest Games" by FM Eric Schiller (http://ericschiller.com/)
Special thanks!

I really liked the app and used it for several years. However I recently upgraded my phone and when I reinstallled the app in the new phone, it fails to read anything that is not stored directly in the telephon. In fact it can not even fond my SD card. This is a serious drawback and I have not been able to use the app since.

I've deleted my original review. This app is far better than I first thought. It lets you view a pdf of chess games and commentary while giving you a split screen of a chess board to follow the moves. IMO it's better to hold the phone horizontally. I wish I had watched the sample video first. A useful app for chess players.

Hello, sorry that it is not intuitive. Actually that game loaded was a sample game with hints and tips! To see the actual moves, you can tap on the top right dropdown - load games and locate the .pgn file on the sdcard with the same name as the book! Else you can just make the moves from the ebook on the board! Support email: hello@mychessapps.com

Awesome! This app helped me study chess in a more convenient way since you don't need to use another app to play the moves from a certain position. You can try to understand the positions from an ebook by looking at the virtual board and read the explanations given by the book's author without the need for an external software. I highly recommend this app for people who don't have a physical chessboard as a companion for their studies.
